The left-back commits his future at White Hart Lane until 2021.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose has signed a new five-year deal at the club after nailing down his spot as first choice left-back in Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
The winger-turned-defender is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury, but Rose has followed in the footsteps of fellow England internationals Eric Dier and Dele Alli, Danish star Christian Eriksen and youngster Harry Winks in extending his stay at White Hart Lane.
The 26-year-old endured a slow start to life at Spurs after failing to break into the team as a midfielder, but a reinvention at left-back has seen his career take off to the extent he’s also first choice for the Three Lions on the left side of defence with eight caps to his name.
And after building on his impressive form since Pochettino’s arrival in North London, Rose was delighted to commit himself to Tottenham, telling the club’s official Twitter page: “Everyone knows that the Club is going in the right direction and I’m over the moon that I’ll stay here until I’m an old man!”
“We all want to go out and prove that last season wasn’t a one-off with us finishing third. Right now I’m so happy, I’m settled here – I’m slowly turning into a Southerner!
“I hope I can stay here for a very long time and see where it takes me but at the minute I wouldn’t wish for anything more than to play for Spurs for the rest of my career.”
Rose has made over 120 appearances for Tottenham but was robbed of a debut Champions League appearance in the defeat at Wembley to Monaco with injury. However has an outside chance of being fit for Spurs’ next encounter with CSKA Moscow next Tuesday.
The Darlington-born defender made his England debut in a friendly win over Germany in March prior to Euro 2016 and was one of five Tottenham players to make the final squad for the tournament.
He started three out of four of England’s games in the competition and played alongside Kyle Walker, Eric Dier, Dele Alli and Harry Kane in the Three Lions’ ultimately unsuccessful outing in France.
