Roy Keane labelled Liverpool transfer target, Jude Bellingham, as an ‘amazing talent’ after his Man of the Match display for England on Tuesday night at Wembley, as he told ITV Sport (29/03/22 at 11:40 pm).
England recorded a comfortable 3-0 win over ten-man Ivory Coast, with Bellingham bossing proceedings in the middle of the park and Keane claiming that he has ‘everything in his game’.
At just 18, there are calls for Bellingham to be a starter for the Three Lions, especially when the 2022 World Cup kicks off in Qatar later this year.
Bellingham is currently thriving in Dortmund colours on the domestic stage, but they may have to look over their shoulder because their former boss, Jurgen Klopp, wants to lure the all-action midfielder to Liverpool.
Whether that happens remains to be seen, as Keane shared that he can see the player being a ‘mainstay’ in this current England side for the ‘next 15 years’.
“I’m confused every time I listen to interviews,” said Keane, “People say ‘he’s a ten, eight or a six’. Just get on with the game.
“Play what is in front of you. Whatever role you are asked to play, he can do it. Don’t try to be labelling him to a certain position.
“He can obviously play in a number of positions, like a lot of good young players. The key thing for him is that he is playing, week in and week out at a big club in Germany.
“Every time he plays for England, he looks so comfortable. He played tonight like he’s played 50-60 times for England. He’s so mature and he has everything in his locker. I can’t speak highly enough of him. He will be a mainstay for England for the next 10-15 years. An amazing talent.”

In five years time, Bellingham, who will probably have more than 50 England caps to his name, would still be considered a youngster.
The footballing world is at his feet and the all-round midfielder is showcasing talents that were only probably seen by Wayne Rooney when he was coming through.
As a teenager, the aggressive-natured striker was leading the line for his country and he was one of the most dangerous players in the world.
If Bellingham is handed the starting keys to England’s midfield, then there’s no reason he doesn’t dominate and showcase his worth also.
