Speaking on The Overlap, Roy Keane has been speaking about Liverpool.

The Manchester United legend was hosting a panel alongside two other Sky Sports pundits where they spoke about all things football.

Inevitably, the topic of Liverpool FC came up, and Keane used just two words to sum up the Reds.

What’s been said?

Keane, alongside Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher, was asked to play a game of word association and the first word that came up was ‘Liverpool’.

As you may imagine, Neville wasn’t too kind about Jurgen Klopp’s side., but Keane gave the Merseyside club the credit they deserve.

“Brilliant team,” Keane said when asked to share his thoughts on Liverpool.

“Amazing,” Jamie Carragher added.

Credit where it’s due

In years gone by it’s hard to imagine any Manchester United legend waxing-lyrical about Liverpool in this manner, but sometimes, you just have to give credit where it’s due.

Keane says that Liverpool are a ‘brilliant team’ and he’s not wrong.

The Anfield outfit are one of the best teams in the world, and this current crop of stars are arguably one of the greatest sides in club football history.

Add in Jurgen Klopp at the helm and you genuinely have a team that could give any side from any era a run for their money.

Sadly, Liverpool are competing with another all-time great outfit in the shape of Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City so their trophy haul isn’t as great as the teams from the 70s and the 80s, but make no mistake about it, this is one of the greatest Liverpool sides of all-time.
