Roy Keane has urged out-of-form Manchester United to solve their striker problems by signing Tottenham Hotspur hitman Harry Kane.

Gary Neville then responded to Keane’s comments by joking that he’s going to be ‘popular’ with the Spurs supporters for his comments about their player.

United recorded a 1-1 draw against Liverpool on Sunday at Old Trafford, and whilst Marcus Rashford found the back of the net, United have struggled in the attacking third this term.

Speaking to Sky Sports (20/10/2019 at 19:15 pm), Keane urged his old club to ‘go get’ Kane, as he feels that the club is in disarray and he can solve their problems.

“Go and get Kane,” Keane told Sky Sports. “Just go and get Kane from Spurs.”

“You’ll be popular with Spurs fans,” Neville responded. Keane then added: “Just go get him. What are you all staring at? United are in disarray, go get him.”

In years gone by, a player moving to Manchester United would have been a pretty straightforward move but given their fall in recent years that isn’t the case now.

A player like Kane is playing for his boyhood club, and unlike United, playing Champions League football, so it would be pretty tough to prise him away from North London.

Whilst someone like Kane would solve United’s attacking issues, a lot of things would have to turn and happen in order for him to be wearing the United shirt at Old Trafford.
