Roy Keane thinks Celtic have no chance of progressing as a football club if they continue to concede so many goals.

Pundit and former Celtic midfielder Roy Keane has slammed the Bhoys’ defending on ITV Sport’s UEFA Champions League Highlights show, and in particular Kolo Toure, after their 2-0 defeat to Borussia Monchengladbach.
Celtic were hoping to build on their last Champions League outing – a 3-3 draw with Manchester City – as they took on Bundesliga outfit Gladbach on Wednesday night, but they were left disappointed.

Two errors from Celtic centre back Kolo Toure handed both goals to Gladbach, with Lars Stindl and Andre Hahn the beneficiaries of the Ivorian’s blunders.
The result leaves Celtic bottom of Group C with just one point to their name from three games, and face a huge trip to Germany in a fortnight to take on Gladbach again, with Rodgers desperate for points given that they must face Barcelona and Manchester City again yet.
Celtic’s Kolo Toure in action
The nature of Celtic’s defeat – two disappointing errors by Toure – will be particularly galling for manager Rodgers, and former Bhoys midfielder Roy Keane was far from impressed.
Speaking on ITV Sport’s UEFA Champions League Highlights show, Keane suggested that Celtic have ‘no chance’ of progressing if they continue to leak goals, having conceded 12 goals in three Champions League games this season.

Keane added that he thinks defender Toure makes far too many mistakes, and has proven over the course of his career that he will cost you goals with slip-ups like the ones we saw on Wednesday night.
“Celtic in their three games have conceded 12 goals – my goodness, you’ve got no chance of going anywhere as a football club,” said Keane.
“He’s got to clear his lines. I think he makes far too many mistakes, over his career, he does cost you,” he added on Toure.
