Roy Keane has stated that Liverpool’s FA Cup semi-final draw against Manchester City is ‘great to look forward to’, as he told ITV Sport.
Speaking before Liverpool could see off a tough and resilient Nottingham Forest side in the quarter-finals, Keane added that the draw would have filtered through to the players before they went out on the pitch.
Both Liverpool and Man City are already battling it out in the Premier League, but they will now have the Wembley stage to showcase their might.
Whilst Pep Guardiola and his players saw off Southampton 4-1 on Sunday afternoon, those from Merseyside did enough to beat Forest 1-0 at the City Ground hours later.
Given that Liverpool will now be heading to Wembley again, this is what Keane had to say about the draw.
“It’s a great draw,” said Keane. “The Liverpool and Manchester City one is great to look forward to, if they get through today.
On Liverpool players knowing about draw when it was made before the game: “No, that will get down to the players. I think they are all big enough and ugly enough to just focus on the game.”

Jurgen Klopp and his players have already had success at Wembley this season when they beat Chelsea in the League Cup final on penalties.
And they will fancy themselves against a Man City side that, in previous seasons, have wiped the floor in the domestic competitions.
It will be interesting to see what effect this has on the title race because the duo are set to meet next month at the Etihad.
Many feel the winner of that will see the title home, and if either team can be victorious in both games, then it would be massive in their quest to possibly add multiple trophies to their cabinet this term.
