Roy Keane has said on Sky Sports Premier League (7:42pm, March 6, 2022) that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal will not finish in the Premier League top four this season, his former club Manchester United win.
The Manchester United legend made the comments about Arsenal following the defeat for the Red Devils in the Manchester derby against Manchester City on Sunday evening.
United are now fifth in the Premier League table with 47 points from 28 matches, a point behind fourth-placed Arsenal.
Mikel Arteta’s side have three games in hand.
Keane said: “Arsenal could be slight favourites now. I am praising Arsenal because they are doing well in the league, but they have had some shocking results in the cup competitions.
“If you said that a few months ago that they could finish ahead of Man United, you would have been locked up. It’s amazing, a big turnaround, but United, I think they will do it.”

Arsenal or Manchester United in top four?
In our view, Arsenal do appear the most likely side among the two to finish fourth in the Premier League table this season.
The Gunners do not have to worry about any other competition, have no injury crisis, and are in better form.
However, it is still too early.
Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United and even Wolverhampton Wanderers are in the race for the top four.
In our opinion, Chelsea will have to look over their shoulders now as well.
There is no guarantee that the defending European champions will be able to finish in the top four this season.
