Roy Keane has said on Sky Sports Premier League (6:39pm, October 3, 2021) that the Anfield crowd last night helped Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool against Manchester City.
What’s the story?
Liverpool played out a 2-2 draw with City at Anfield in the Premier League last night.
It was goalless in the first half.
The Reds were disappointing in the opening 45 minutes and were perhaps lucky not to be one or two goals behind.
Both Liverpool and City stepped up their game in the second half.
The former Premier League champions and the defending Premier League champions scored two goals each in the second period.

Roy Keane’s observation
Former Manchester United midfielder Keane was following the match for Sky Sports.
During the post-match analysis, Keane noted that the crowd helped Liverpool in the second half.
Keane said about Liverpool: “They played with a bit more energy, and obviously that came from the supporters as well.”

Big point for Liverpool
City were arguably the better team on the night, and Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will be happy with the point.
A defeat would have been psychological damaging for the Reds.
Last night’s match showed just how competitive the Premier League title race this season is going to be.
Don’t forget, Chelsea and Manchester United are strong too.
