Tottenham Hotspur have been superb of late, but many are still split on their title chances.
Spurs beat Arsenal 2-0 last week, have already beaten Manchester United and Manchester City this season and picked up a solid point at Chelsea.
They’re faring well against their ‘big six’ rivals, and currently sit top of the Premier League table, leading Liverpool on goal difference.
Few really expected this following the 1-0 opening day defeat to Everton, but Spurs are unbeaten since then and have conceded just eight goals in the 10 games since that Everton defeat.
Jose Mourinho has his side well-drilled and tough to beat, whilst the quality of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min means they’re dangerous on the break too.
So could Spurs actually win the league? There is still a long, long way to go, but Roy Keane and Gary Neville appear to fancy their chances.
The duo covered Manchester United’s 0-0 draw with Manchester City on Sky Sports last night, and both boldly suggested that Spurs are actually ahead of City right now.
“For all the talent they have, I still think they’re behind Chelsea, Liverpool, and Spurs,” said Keane when talking City. (7:45pm).
“I would agree with that, having watched Tottenham three times in the last few weeks, and Chelsea and Liverpool, they look ahead of City,” added Neville, in comments that will certainly please Mourinho – even if he still sees Spurs as a ‘little pony’ in the title race.
