Roy Keane has claimed that Liverpool target and Arsenal midfielder, Bukayo Saka, is a ‘special’ player, as he told ITV Sport.

The former Premier League-winning captain added by stating that he thinks the Arsenal star can ‘play for any of the big teams’.

Saka is one of Arsenal’s key players, and even at the age of 20, probably the first name on the teamsheet at the Emirates Stadium.

That has resulted in clubs seemingly looking at his talents, with Ian McGarry telling the Transfer Window Podcast that Liverpool are interested in the player and the forward is keen on a move.

That won’t be music to the ears of Arsenal supporters, who will make it clear that there is no way their starboy is heading for their exit doors.

Whilst it might be pretty hard to please someone like Keane, he likes what he sees from Saka and thinks he has the ability to play for anyone.

“He can play for any of the big teams in England and in Europe,” said Keane. “I think he is a special talent.

“He has that ability to beat a man and make something happen. When he speaks as well, he seems a very humble kid, so he has a chance to become a great, great player. He has that talent.”

Arsenal want to be competing back with the best, not selling key players to rival clubs, like they did with the likes of Robin van Persie.

Returning to Champions League football will help matters and, at this moment in time, they are sitting fourth in the Premier League table.

If they are to maintain that, and push beyond, then Mikel Arteta needs players like Saka out on that pitch.

But even if others do come knocking for his talents, those in the Emirates boardroom simply have to bat everything away.
