Arsenal superstar Mesut Ozil is yet to agree terms on a new deal at the Emirates.

Manchester United legend and ITV pundit Roy Keane has explained why it will be vital for Arsenal to tie down Mesut Ozil to a new deal, as quoted by the Mirror.
The 28-year-old German international was on fire for the Gunners last night, scoring a hat-trick during their 6-0 Champions League victory over Ludogorets at the Emirates.
After a stellar 2015/16 campaign that saw Ozil register 19 assists in 35 league outings, the Gunners hierarchy made it their priority to tie their superstar down to a new contract at the start of this season.

Whilst talks have begun, it does not seem like much progress has been made, and Keane believes it is pivotal that Arsenal and Ozil come to some sort of agreement, as quoted by the Mirror:
“Getting Ozil signed up is vital for the club and what will help them is winning trophies. I know they look a bit short when it comes to the Champions League and Premier League but Arsenal have to get these players signed up – it will be a disaster if they don’t. History will tell us they’ll come up short. But as I’ve said this group of Arsenal players do look a touch stronger.”
Arsene Wenger’s men currently sit second in the Premier League table, separated only by goal difference from league leaders Manchester City, and top their Champions League group after a return of seven points from three games.

The true test for Arsenal will come from the beginning of November through to the end of December when they face trips to Manchester United, Everton and Manchester City along with a home game against fierce rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
Having Ozil commit his future to the club before they head into this period will put Arsenal in a far stronger position from which to tackle this challenging set of fixtures.
