Roy Keane has said that he doesn’t think Tottenham Hotspur can win the Premier League title this season, as per his comments on Super Sunday.
Tottenham moved back to the top of the table yesterday, after picking up a 0-0 draw with Chelsea.
But Keane still feels that Tottenham will struggle to keep pace with their title rivals this campaign, and although he backs them to have a good season, he doesn’t feel they will be lifting the Premier League trophy for the first time ever in May.
“He’s done it before, but I don’t think this group of players he has at Spurs are good enough to win the title,” Keane said.
“He’s got the X-factor in Mourinho and Kane. But I don’t think that’s enough.
“I think Spurs are on for a very good season, but there’s a big difference between that and winning the title.
“Manchester City are stronger than Spurs.”

Keane’s last claim may be the most controversial, given the positions of the two sides currently.
Tottenham are nine places ahead of City, who have got off to a poor start.
Spurs also beat Pep Guardiola’s side 2-0 two weekends’ ago, and looked relatively untroubled while they did so.
Tottenham’s next league game comes against a struggling Arsenal side, and they could put 11 points between themselves and their North London rivals if they are able to win.
