Crystal Palace travel to Doncaster in the fifth round of the FA Cup tomorrow.
Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson addressed the media yesterday, ahead of his side’s FA Cup clash with Doncaster tomorrow, and responded when asked whether Michy Batshuayi could start the game, as quoted by Football.London.
The Belgian joined the Eagles on loan from Chelsea on transfer deadline day last month, and despite failing to score in his opening two games, he has looked a real threat.
Crystal Palace currently sit in 13th spot in the Premier League table, just three points clear of the drop zone, so the FA Cup will be a welcome distraction for Hodgson’s men.
The Eagles boss spoke to reporters yesterday, and provided an emphatic response when asked whether Batshuayi could feature from the start tomorrow at the Keepmoat Stadium, as quoted by Football.London:
“Absolutely.”
Palace will be clear favourites to win tomorrow, but they cannot afford to take anything for granted.
Batshuayi will be desperate to open his goalscoring account for the south London side, and help his side progress through to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup in the process.
