Sunderland are looking for a new manager, following David Moyes’ departure from the Stadium of Light.

Roy Hodgson has refused to rule himself out of taking the Sunderland job, when asked by the Sunderland Echo.
Sunderland are on the look out for a new manager, following David Moyes’ resignation yesterday.
And although Hodgson has suggested that he is not looking for a new job, he has refused to rule out taking over at the Stadium of Light.

“I’m not after a job but at the same time I am not looking to turn down jobs,” Hodgson said.
”If one day someone comes to me and says, ‘We would like you to take on this job’ and I like the idea then I would be more than happy to do it.”
Hodgson has not had a managerial job since his departure from England last summer.
Hodgson left his job as Three Lions boss, following England’s defeat to Iceland at Euro 2016.

Sunderland are believed to be keen to make a swift appointment, as they prepare for next campaign.
Moyes’ departure has disrupted Sunderland’s preparations, as they aim to make an immediate return to the Premier League.
Sunderland finished bottom of the Premier League this season, after what was a disastrous campaign.
