The German boss is celebrating one year in charge at Liverpool.

Former Liverpool manager Roy Evans has told the Liverpool Echo he has been delighted by Jurgen Klopp’s time in charge so far.
The German boss is celebrating a year in charge at Anfield after replacing Brendan Rodgers at the club last October.
It has been an action-packed first 12 months in charge during which he has led the Reds to the Europa League final and the League Cup final as well as fourth in the Premier League in the early stages of this campaign.
He has been a huge hit on Merseyside, with the club’s fans believing he will be the man to lead them to future success.

One man who has been impressed is former manager Evans, who has shared that delight with the Liverpool Echo.
“I’ve been delighted with what I’ve seen from Jurgen’s team. I’m enjoying watching them and they seem to play with that little bit of freedom,” he said.
“Just occasionally they become a little bit inconsistent but if we can get rid of that we can be a force to be reckoned with. I think Jurgen’s done fantastically in his first year, he’s got all the fans on his side.”

As for the future, Evans is hoping to see the Reds at least make the top four under Klopp’s leadership this season.
They have started this campaign on fire, picking up 16 points from their first seven games and sitting just two points behind league leaders Manchester City.
For many pundits, Liverpool are among the favourites to secure one of those coveted Champions League spots and Evans believes a top four place is more than achievable.
“Hopefully this year we can be successful and make the top four which I think we’ve got a really good chance of and then, of course, it would be even nicer if we could go on and win it,” he added.
