Following his dismissal from Birmingham City, Gary Rowett appears to be the most dangerous man in football.
It’s fair to say that nobody saw the sacking of Gary Rowett coming. The 42-year-old had turned the Blues into promotion candidates once again and it seemed inconceivable that he would be let go in the prime of his career at St Andrew’s.
Unfortunately that was exactly what happened, but when one story ends another one begins and Rowett can now pick and choose exactly where he ends up. Either way Rowett is in complete control of the situation, and that must be an oh so good feeling for the Englishman.

Reports are suggesting that a number of teams have already enquired as to how they can acquire the services of Rowett, and all he has to do now is sit back and wait for the bidding war to commence. Well, perhaps not a bidding war, but there’s still going to be a heated back and forth.
Either way, it could mean one manager could be moved on in order to make way for the 42-year-old.
Rumours in terms of his next destination range from Huddersfield to Norwich to abroad, but in order to continue the gradual climb up the managerial ladder he should really remain in the Championship in order to keep learning from such an interesting and difficult division.
After working wonders at both Burton Albion and Birmingham, the abilities that Rowett has at his disposal to transform a team is staggering, and the team that finally land him will feel like they’ve just won the lottery. The Championship has been well and truly put on notice because Rowett’s next destination will likely see the rise of yet another play-off contender in the division.
