Rangers and Celtic are both closing on deals as the transfer window draws to a close.

Here are two deals Rangers could complete imminently, and one Celtic are expected to finalise…

The Mail reported in early July that Atakayi was on trial at Rangers, following up a week the youngster spent at English Premier League champions Leicester City.

He netted his first professional goal for FF Jaro at just 16 and is another example of Mark Warburton’s drive to bring in top youth talent to Ibrox.

Senderos to sign soon?

Rangers are also surely due to wrap up a deal to sign defender Philippe Senderos.

The Daily Record reported last week that Senderos was undergoing a medical, having impressed in training with the Light Blues.

The Swiss defender is a free agent and so there is no immediate pressure to tie up a deal in time for the transfer deadline, but Rangers will not want to let the situation drag on for too much longer, as their chance to sign alternatives is diminishing.

Celtic to complete Cristian Gamboa transfer

Celtic are set to complete the signing of West Bromwich Albion defender Cristian Gamboa.

The BBC reported Gamboa is in Glasgow and undertook a medical yesterday, with a fee agreed between both clubs.
