After a long awaited victory, Rotherham United’s next few games will be crucial to how the rest of their season goes.
To say things have been turbulent for Rotherham United this season would be a massive understatement. The Millers have broken a string of unwanted records on their way to dropping into the bottom three, and it appeared as if there was no way back for them.
Thankfully, a morale boosting victory over QPR at the weekend has given cause for cautious optimism. With four games in the space of just over two weeks, the festive period could prove to be the decider in terms of where they will end up this year.

Away trips to Fulham and Sheffield Wednesday will be tricky, but given their recent victory a slight boost in confidence could lead to them snatching a point. Both sides are in contention for the play-offs and will be expecting an easy three points, so sitting back and frustrating them before launching a string of counter attacks could be the way forward.

Then comes a huge double header against Wigan and Burton, with both games taking place at the New York Stadium. It cannot be understated how important it is for the Millers to beat the teams around them, and this would give them a prime opportunity to start building some momentum back up again.
These may be uncertain times for the Millers, but they have a great chance to prove they belong in the Championship over the course of December.
