Achieving what was thought to be impossible, Warnock managed to pick up 6 wins between 27th February and the 23rd of April, losing no games in that time.

Surviving the drop by finishing in 21st place, Neil Warnock was hailed as a miracle worker for saving the Millers from relegation.

However, citing his ambition to manage a team capable of promotion, Warnock departed the New York Stadium in the summer.

Turning their attention to Scotland, Rotherham United brought in Hibernian manager, Alan Stubbs.

Despite bringing in 9 new signings and 5 loan signings, Rotherham’s start to the season was poor, picking up only one win across August and September against Brentford.

After going winless throughout October, the Millers parted company with Stubbs, bringing in former Millwall and Wolves boss Kenny Jacket as his replacement.

However, after just over a month, Jackett stepped down from his position as manager, leaving Rotherham managerless going into the New Year. With relegation a serious worry again this season, and with the Millers manageress and some way off the teams above them at the bottom of the table, they will need another miracle turnaround in 2017 to save themselves from the drop.
