HITC Sport understands that Middlesbrough’s Lewis Maloney is set for talks with Rotherham.
Championship strugglers Rotherham United are in talks to sign Middlesbrough youngster Lewis Maloney, HITC Sport understands.
The Northern Ireland Under-21 international is come through the ranks of Middlesbrough’s famed academy and has been included in first-team squads by Aitor Karanka.
He has never made a senior appearance, but did make the bench in the Championship last season.

Maloney’s current deal is due to expire at the end of the season, and Middlesbrough are open to a deal for the 21-year-old.
The midfielder is now set to travel to South Yorkshire early next week, where he will train with Paul Warne’s squad after being given permission to do so by Middlesbrough.
Rotherham will then decide whether to push through a deal, whether that be a loan deal or a permanent move.
Rotherham are in need of some reinforcements in midfield after they lost Chelsea loan star Izzy Brown, who was since sent to Huddersfield Town on-loan for the rest of the season.
