Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday are among the clubs being linked with the Rotherham United midfielder.

The Rotherham United head of recruitment, Rob Scott, has admitted Will Vaulks could be sold if the rumoured Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday target expresses a desire to leave.
Vaulks is about to enter the final year of his contract at Rotherham, who suffered relegation despite his seven goals and seven assists from central midfield this past campaign.
And according to Teamtalk, the Millers’ local rivals, Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday, are among those taking an interest in the newly-capped Wales international.
The website also claims Rotherham have ‘already accepted that their prized asset will be moving on this summer’.
But speaking to BBC Radio Sheffield on Thursday, Scott said of the rumours surrounding Vaulks’ future: “Speculation will always be there.
“We’ve got some good players who have played in the Championship and other Championship clubs will look to snap them up.
“If that’s the case we’ll wait and see what offers come in. But at the moment we’re just sitting tight and trying to look out there and cover all of our bases.
“We’ve got some fantastic footballers at our club and they are assets, but we certainly won’t be letting them go on the cheap that’s for sure.”

Asked whether or not there is a need to sell players in the summer transfer window, Scott added: “No there is no need. The chairman (Tony Stewart) has stated that.
“But I think we have to take into consideration the facts of the matter. That, unfortunately in this day and age, there are other factors that influence players, and one of those large factors is financial.
“What we want to do is keep players happy and want to be at the football club and want to play for Rotherham United. If a player states that they don’t want to play for us and they would like to move on then we have to try and do the best deal for the football club, as anybody does.”
But according to Scott, Rotherham have yet to receive an approach from Sheffield United, Sheffield Wednesday or any other club.
“As we stand, no-one’s done that,” he said. “So I’m not anticipating there to be too much difficulty in that particular area. Every football club in the world is a selling club, but it has to be the right price for us.”

Would the Rotherham midfielder be a good addition for Sheffield United / Sheffield Wednesday?
