HITC Sport understands Rotherham boss Paul Warne is a contender for QPR manager’s job.

Rotherham United boss Paul Warne has emerged as a contender for the vacant manager’s job at Championship rivals Queens Park Rangers, HITC Sport understands.
QPR are searching for a new manager following Steve McClaren’s sacking earlier this week after less than a year in charge at Loftus Road.
A host of names, including former Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood and Charlton chief Lee Bowyer have been linked with the vacancy at QPR and highly-rated coach Warne is also thought to be under consideration.
Warne has impressed at Rotherham since taking over in January 2017, guiding the club to promotion to the Championship in his first full season in charge.

The 46-year-old is highly-regarded within coaching circles for the job he has done at Rotherham on a shoe-string budget.
The Millers are currently battling against relegation from the Championship and keeping them up this season would be a massive achievement for Warne.
QPR have been forced to work under tight financial restrictions in the last couple of season and they are looking for a manager who can work with a limited budget and Warne has achieved success working under similar constraints at the New York Stadium.
Rotherham would be reluctant to lose Warne, but they are aware that his work with them will bring him onto the radar of other clubs.
