Rotherham are struggling near the foot of the table after revamping the squad this summer.

Rotherham boss Alan Stubbs has reminded sceptics that he is dealing with a squad that has been completely refurbished as they plummet into the relegation zone this weekend.
The former Everton stalwart is in his second managerial role after leaving Hibernian in the summer, and is already coming under pressure after steering The Millers to second-bottom of the Championship.

With Neil Warnock having guided the club to safety last year, winning six of their last 13 games, the club have failed to kick on under Stubbs’ stewardship and have won just one of his first nine league games in charge.
The Evertonian is refusing to panic however, and speaking with the Rotherham Advertiser, said “I have been in management for just over two years and in that short space of time I’ve had a bit of success. I obviously believe in what I’m doing but it’s like anything when you get a new job.”

Stubbs was appointed on the back of winning the Scottish Cup with Hibernian last season, and he has seen an overhaul in personnel with 13 players having been released and eight drafted in.
“People have to remember we’ve had to rebuild here,” he continued. “We have had to virtually build a squad and that does take time. Every job is a big job when you go into it. Whatever is in front of you, you have to hit it head on and tackle it.”
Rotherham hosted fellow strugglers Cardiff City this afternoon, and the Millers were desperate to record just their second win since early April. A late double from Rickie Lambert gave the Bluebirds all three points, with Izzy Brown’s opener proving to be in vain.
