Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to react after the club announced the signing of Fashion Sakala from KV Oostende.
The 24-year-old has signed a four-year contract with Steven Gerrard’s side, and will join in the summer subject to international clearance.
Sakala will also have to receive a work permit before he can play.
It seems as if Ross Wilson has pulled off a wonderful signing.
The Gers are getting the Zambian forward for free, which is brilliant business considering how well he’s done this season.
Sakala has scored 13 goals in 28 Jupiler Pro League appearances this season, which is a respectable tally to say the least.
He will follow Ianis Hagi and Kemar Roofe in swapping the Jupiler Pro League for the Scottish Premiership.
If Sakala turns out to be anything like Hagi or Roofe, then Gerrard will certainly be pleased.
It’s encouraging to see Rangers make moves in the market so early.
Gerrard and Wilson clearly know what they want to achieve between now and the start of the 2021/22 campaign.
That is good to see, as Rangers will have to ensure they have a settled squad if they are to do well in the early stages of the Champions League.
