Danny Wilson is playing well for Graeme Murty’s Glasgow Rangers, and his former Ibrox teammate Ross Perry speaks highly of him.

Wilson came through the Rangers academy and played for the first team for a while before leaving for Liverpool in England in 2010.
After achieving success with Heart of Midlothian, the 26-year-old central defender earned the move to Rangers in 2015 and has established himself as an important player in Graeme Murty’s team.
Perry also started his professional club football career at Rangers and was on the books of the Gers until 2014.
Now at Albion Rovers in Scottish League One, the 27-year-old centre-back has suggested a reason why Wilson is doing so well for Rangers at the moment.

Perry told The Scottish Sun about Wilson: “Niggling injuries stopped Danny getting a run in the team but we are seeing the real Danny Wilson now.
“He has played well recently and has added goals to his game. He has only just turned 26 but has been around for nearly ten years and he could be there for another ten.
“He’s a massive influence and you can see him mentoring youngsters like David and Ross McCrorie.”

Rangers are third in the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 40 points from 22 matches.
The Gers are as many as 11 points behind leaders and Old Firm rivals Celtic and three behind second-placed Aberdeen.
