Ross McCrorie says life’s changed dramatically since Rangers breakthrough

Glasgow Rangers defender Ross McCrorie recently made his debut for the Ibrox side.

Ross McCrorie has suggested to BBC Sport that life has changed dramatically since he broke into the Rangers first-team, and insisted that he is loving every minute since making his debut.

McCrorie went into this season having not made an appearance for the Gers, but he became one of the success stories from Pedro Caixinha’s brief tenure after the Portuguese handed him a chance in the League Cup clash with Partick Thistle in September.

He has since gone on to make another eight appearances for the first-team, scoring his first goal for the club in their last game before the international break – a 3-0 win over the same opponent, Partick.

And McCrorie admitted that it has been a whirlwind period for him over the last couple of months.

“Life has changed dramatically to be honest,” McCrorie said, as reported by BBC Sport. “Obviously making my debut and staying in the team for the last eight games, it has been brilliant and hopefully I can keep building on it.

“I am up among the first-team boys and I am loving every minute of it.”

What will encourage Rangers the most is that McCrorie is showing few signs that he is simply a prospect, having settled into his role in the senior side extremely well.

He appears to be improving with every single appearance and managed to keep a player of Bruno Alves’ calibre out of the starting lineup for the Gers’ most recent game, so the signs certainly suggest that he has the potential to be a mainstay of the Rangers lineup for a number of years to come.
