Glasgow Rangers bounced back from two defeats, winning 2-0 at Ibrox ahead of this weekend’s crunch game.

Ross McCrorie has taken to Twitter to celebrate Rangers’ win, pay tribute to the fans and whet the appetite for this weekend’s Old Firm clash with Celtic at Parkhead.
After two defeats on the spin, Graeme Murty’s men got back to winning ways, but it took some time before they were able to break down Motherwell at Ibrox on Wednesday.

After a goalless first-half, Danny Wilson was the surprise breaker of the deadlock as his stunning strike found the top corner 11 minutes into the second-half, before Alfredo Morelos secured the three points 14 minutes from time.
With Aberdeen winning against Partick Thistle, the win leaves Rangers third in the table, three points off second place. However, Hibernian’s draw away at Hearts means that they are now five points clear of fourth.

And after the game, McCrorie – who was making just his 15th Scottish Premiership appearance in the fixture – took to social media to comment on the win and thank the fans, while he also alluded to having one eye on this weekend’s game against Celtic.
While Rangers will be significant underdogs for this weekend’s game at Parkhead – having not beaten their bitter rivals since their return to the Scottish Premiership – it must not be forgotten that Murty was the man who oversaw their best result since their top flight return.
Murty was overseeing his final game in caretaker charge when Clint Hill’s late goal gave the Gers a point at Celtic Park, and that remains the only time that Rangers have denied the Hoops victory since their Scottish Cup semi-final win under Mark Warburton.
