Ross McCrorie outlines his ambition while with Rangers

Glasgow Rangers youngster Ross McCrorie is arguably the brightest prospect currently coming through at Ibrox.

In comments reported by The Scottish Sun, Ross McCrorie has insisted that he wants to be winning trophies and is determined to help Rangers become the top team in Scotland again.

McCrorie went into this season still awaiting his senior debut for the Gers, but it has proven to be a fantastic campaign for the youngster – even if he is yet to play for the Light Blues since the winter break due to injury.

The youngster has already established himself as a key member of the Rangers side. And while that may leave some Gers fans worried about where his future may lie as he gets better and better, McCrorie hinted that his ultimate goal involved staying at Ibrox.

“My ambition is to win trophies and make Rangers the best team in Scotland,” he said, as reported by The Scottish Sun.

“I would love to get into the Scotland squad and that would be an honour and the icing on the cake.”

The pressure is definitely on Rangers to prove that they are capable of re-establishing themselves as the top team in the country as they have players in their squad who are clearly capable of being a part of Scotland’s best side.

The likes of McCrorie, Alfredo Morelos and Greg Docherty have a frightening amount of potential, and it is now up to the Gers to ensure that they put the team together that gives them the best chance of keeping their star players at Ibrox.

McCrorie knows that Ibrox is the best place for him right now, but as he continues to develop and improve and gain more experience, Rangers must make sure that they have a team around him that is able to help realise his ambitions as it seems unlikely that other clubs will hesitate to make bids for the teenager in the future.
