Ross McCormack joined Aston Villa from Fulham in the summer transfer window.
Aston Villa are one of the biggest clubs in England, but they are playing in the Championship at the moment.
The Villans got relegated from the Premier League at the end of the 2015-16 campaign.
Many will have expected Villa to fight for a top-six finish in the Championship this season, but things are not going well at the moment.
Villa are as low as 19th in the league table with 10 points from 11 matches, just two points above the relegation zone.

While many of the players are not performing well at the moment, one Villa man who is starring is Ross McCormack.
McCormack joined the Villans from Championship rivals Fulham in the summer transfer window for a fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £12 million.
The former Rangers and Leeds United striker was a number of players who were signed by Villa in the summer.
Tommy Elphick, Pierluigi Gollini, Aaron Tshibola and Mile Jedinak were among the players to have signed by the Championship club in the summer, but it is McCormack who is proving to be the best of the bunch.

| Total Shots | Shots on Target | Goals | Scoring V Shooting Accuracy | Chances Created | Goal Assist | Headers Won | Touches | Appearances | Mins Played | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|

As the above Opta Stats table shows, McCormack has been superb for Villa so far this season.
Perhaps the former Cardiff City striker could have scored more goals, but he has created a lot of chances for his teammates.
