The defender left Leeds United in the summer of 2016.
For a time it looked as though Ross Killock had the talent to break into Leeds United’s first-team, but while plenty of youngsters were given a chance, the centre-back was overlooked time and again until he left Elland Road permanently last summer.
He would later sign for Chester, where he had previously enjoyed a loan spell while at Leeds. However things have not gone according to plan thus far and he recently spoke to the Chester Chronicle about his injury woes.
Despite hoping the move would enable him to get the regular first-team football he craved, injury problems have limited him to just 10 minutes of senior action; something that he is hoping will soon change.
“Working on your own is hard and can be tiresome but as the weeks go by you get closer and I feel at the point now where I can get back out there and start playing,” Killock told the Chester Chronicle.
“The first month is the hardest,” Killock added when talking about being on the side-lines, but he now looks to be nearing a return and at that point he can finally get his career back on track.
There is no doubting his talent, it is only a shame he did not get a chance to prove his worth with the Leeds first-team when players like Scott Wootton were relied on week in, week out.
Whatever the future holds for the 21-year-old, he will be hoping his injury problems are very much a thing of the past.
