Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon is reportedly on the radar of Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

Craig Gordon of Celtic arrives at the stadium prior to the Scottish Premier League match between Celtic and Ranger at Celtic Park on December 30, 2017 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Celtic youngster Ross Doohan has suggested to The Scottish Sun that he hopes that Craig Gordon remains at the club next season.

According to The Scottish Sun, Manchester United are interested in signing Gordon from Celtic in the summer transfer window.

The 35-year-old is one of the best goalkeepers in the Scottish Premiership, and the Scotland international has played in England with Sunderland.

Celtic goalkeeper Doohan, 20, has suggested that he hopes that Gordon remain at Celtic Park beyond the summer, and has admitted that he would be a huge miss if he left.

“Craig is a top class keeper and I think everyone has seen it,” Doohan told The Scottish Sun. “We don’t pay attention to rumours and I haven’t heard much, but obviously he would be a huge miss if he was to move on.”

Staying at Celtic

Gordon has made mistakes from time to time, but the Scotland international is the undisputed first-choice goalkeeper at Celtic at the moment.

The 35-year-old would not be a first-choice goalkeeper at United and would have play second fiddle to Davie de Gea.

Playing for United is a dream for many footballers, and it could be tempting for Gordon to work with Jose Mourinho.

However, Celtic are a massive club as well, and winning the Scottish Premiership title regularly and playing in the Champions League could convince Gordon to remain at Celtic Park.
