Glasgow Rangers could only come away from Sunday’s game with a point.
Ross County captain Andrew Davies has praised Rangers’ attacking depth but insisted that they are not good enough defensively, the Daily Record reports.
Mark Warburton’s men missed the chance to move back into second place in the Scottish Premiership going into the international break as they could only draw 1-1 in Sunday’s clash between the two teams.

After Clint Hill’s great header opened the scoring, a poorly defended set-piece allowed Davies to level the game. And while there were no more goals, the rest of the game was eventful as both sides struggled to keep mistakes out of their play.
And after the points were shared, Davies suggested that Rangers were fortunate to avoid defeat before issuing a warning to the Gers.
“I feel that defensively you can get at Rangers, I really do. They have got some really good players going forward and you have to be really careful,” he said, as reported by the Daily Record.

“But at the back that’s where their weakest point is. With Rangers, they give you chances. Against good teams, they’ll get punished. We should have punished them today – but we didn’t.”
In fairness to Rangers, they currently boast the third-best defensive record in the division, having conceded 13 times in 12 games.

And if you factor in that five of those goals came in one terrible afternoon against Celtic, it is fair to say that their record for the majority of the campaign has been impressive.
But after the division’s bottom side opened them up with little problem, Davies’ assessment may certainly leave Warburton with something to think about during the break.
