Ross Barkley has shared how praising Tammy Abraham was of Aston Villa and their fans by stating that he still ‘loves the club’ he represented in the Championship, as he told AVTV.
On Wednesday, Villa announced the surprise news that they have signed Barkley on a season-long loan from Stamford Bridge.
Abraham was on-loan at Villa when they were stuck in England’s second-tier, but his 26 goals throughout the season helped the West Midlands giants make a return to the big time in 2019.
Now another Chelsea player will be hoping to take Villa to the next level, as Barkley shared what Abraham told him and his comments on the fans.
“It’s really exciting because I played here [Villa Park] before and I know that the fans, I spoke to Tammy [Abraham] and he loves the club,” Barkley told AVTV.
“He says how good it is when their fans are there, so hopefully they can get back very soon and we can perform in front of them – it’s not the same without the fans and I cannot wait for them to come back.”

This is a seriously big coup for Villa and it adds more spice, dynamism and much-needed depth to a team that has made a flying start this season.
Dean Smith’s men have won all their games so far and they will be hoping that continues when they take on Championship side Stoke City in the League Cup tonight.
Barkley will be cup-tied but he could be in line to make his Villa debut against a certain old rival in Liverpool at the weekend.
