Everton midfielder James McCarthy suffered a serious injury against West Bromwich Albion.

Chelsea attacking midfielder Ross Barkley has taken to social networking site Twitter to send a message to Everton central midfielder James McCarthy.
McCarthy suffered a serious injury during Everton’s Premier League game against West Bromwich Albion at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon.
The 27-year-old suffered a double leg break after a tackle on West Brom’s Salomon Rondon in the second half and had to be taken off on a stretcher.

As reported by BBC Sport, the Republic of Ireland international midfielder will now be out of action for the rest of the season.
Chelsea attacking midfielder Barkley has taken to Twitter to send a message to McCarthy. The 24-year-old England international feels sorry for the Everton midfielder and hopes that his former teammate gets well soon.
Barkley joined Chelsea from Everton in the January transfer window for a fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £15 million, having been on the books of the Merseyside club since 2005.
