The attacking midfielder started the game at Goodison Park and played for the entire 90 minutes, as the home team won 4-0.
The 23-year-old has been playing well in recent months, but he did come in for some criticism for his disappointing performance against Liverpool in the Merseyside derby earlier this month.
After the win against Leicester on Sunday afternoon, Everton manager Ronald Koeman told BBC Sport that if the England international does not sign a new contract, then he will be sold in the summer transfer window.
Liverpool legend Carragher has some positive words for Barkley, as he praised the Englishman’s performance on Sunday.
Barkley has scored four goals and created 72 chances in 30 Premier League appearances for Everton so far this season.
