Newcastle United saw Rosaire Longelo shine last night.

Newcastle United’s first team lost 3-1 at Liverpool on Saturday afternoon, and it was the turn of the youngsters on Monday night.
The Magpies’ Under-23’s were in action against their counterparts from Norwich City at Whitley Park, with first team boss Steve Bruce in the stands to watch his youngsters.
Newcastle ran out 3-2 winners in their Premier League 2 clash, with goals from Rosaire Longelo, Luke Charman and Tom Allan securing the victory.
Longelo is a name for fans to keep tabs on, and with the winger scoring a superb long-range effort last night, he’s showing real signs of his potential.
The 19-year-old is far from a household name, and ended up leaving West Ham United for a move to Newcastle in 2018, seeking a first-team pathway in the North East.
Longelo managed to impress last night, with The Chronicle’s Lee Ryder branding his goal ‘majestic’ whilst Under-23 boss Neil Redfearn told the club’s official website that he felt Longelo gave Newcastle a real threat going forward.

Primarily a left-sided winger, Longelo is a regular under Redfearn, and with Allan Saint-Maximin out injured and Rolando Aarons loaned out, he’s at least putting himself in Bruce’s thoughts after last night’s showing.
He’ll be desperate to show West Ham what they’re missing, and whilst becoming a Premier League regular is still some way off, he’s making decent progress on Tyneside.
