Manchester United v Fulham and Stoke City v Manchester City are among the games we profile in part two of our weekly tips column.
So we kick part two off with Sunderland v QPR, a match which sees Djibril Cisse return to the second of his former clubs in a week.
He is on a hot streak, scoring two in two, and looked determined against Liverpool, he should be worth considering for this clash, against a Sunderland side who have gone slightly off the boil and have one eye on the FA Cup.
Stephane Sessegnon returns from suspension, and will likely go straight into the side, so could be worth considering.
Swansea v Everton now, and Gylfi Sigurdsson is making himself increasingly impossible to ignore. His best matches have come away from home, but he could do well again here against Everton, who like Sunderland will have their eye on the FA Cup clash.
Scott Sinclair is also back in form and, the many players with Michel Vorm and fellow Swansea defenders should like their chances of a fourth successive clean sheet against the goalshy Toffees.
Saturday’s late game is Stoke City v Manchester City, a real test for the blue half of Manchester, who will be hoping to go top of the table with a win.
The big question here many managers will be asking, is whether to drop David Silva, who was scintillating in the first half of the season, but has gone off the boil.
This match could be another fruitless showing for him, and it will be tempting to switch him in for the similarly priced Steven Gerrard who faces Wigan at Anfield.
What of Carlos Tevez? Well Mancini said that despite his assist in midweek, he would be eased back into action, so may be its slightly early to bring him in yet, considering his high price.
West Brom v Newcastle – and a tough selection dilemma for Alan Pardew who has to decide whether to play both Ba, Cisse, or both. Of the two, Cisse is in better form, but Pardew has been reluctant to start him away from home after the Tottenham defeat, but that could change here, meanwhile Ryan Taylor remains injured.
Manchester United v Fulham is the Monday night game, but it could be one worth waiting for.
Wayne Rooney is in superb form, even though he brought just the one assist in the 5-0 win over Wolves. Look for him to get back in the goals here, although Robin van Persie may be a more astute captain choice this weekend.
The man who it is difficult to ignore, is Antonio Valencia who caught everyone cold with his quick return from injury and stunning performance against Wolves.
Ashley Young and Nani are expected to be involved too, but Valencia is cheapest and has been most productive this year, and with United’s good fixture list upcoming, this is the exact type of match he does well in.
It may be worth switching out Clint Dempsey to bring him in, who may struggle to have an impact at Old Trafford.
