The Leeds United newbie is excited about the upcoming fixture at Elland Road.

Leeds United take on Atalanta in their final pre-season friendly of the summer this weekend, with the game their first at Elland Road since the Championship clash with Charlton Athletic.
However, it is also the first game at Leeds’ famous home ground for many of the club’s new signings.
The likes of Marcus Antonsson, Robert Green will be hoping to get their first taste of action as the home team at Elland Road – as is Kemar Roofe.
The summer signing from Oxford United told LUTV this week that he was very excited to take in the new surroundings this weekend:
“Just to picture the surroundings (is important) so when it comes to Saturday you’re not surprised by anything.
“I can’t wait. I expect a big crowd on Saturday and then obviously when the season starts it’s probably going to be packed isn’t it so it’s going to be amazing.”

Roofe does however make a god point. Whilst the atmosphere of a crucial Championship game at Elland Road cannot be replicated during a pre-season fixture the Leeds players will need to be used to playing football at what can be a daunting home venue.
This fixture against Italian opposition looks likely to be a slog and it will be a great opportunity for the likes of Roofe and Leeds United’s other newbies to get acclimatised to their new environment.
