Former Leeds United forward Mark Viduka starred at Elland Road from 2000 to 2004.

Leeds United winger Kemar Roofe has been quoted as saying by the club’s official Twitter page that if he could have any former player back at Elland Road, it would be Mark Viduka.

Viduka is one of the greatest players in Leeds history and remains popular among the Elland Road faithful.

The 42-year-old former Australia international forward joined Leeds in 2000 after leaving Scottish giants Celtic.

The ex-Melbourne Knights and Dinamo Zagreb star played for the West Yorkshire outfit until 2004 before joining Middlesbrough and subsequently Newcastle United in 2007.

Viduka starred for Leeds in the Premier League and in the Champions League during his time at the club.

Roofe, who is 24 years of age and can operate as a winger or as a striker, has revealed that if he could have any former player back at Leeds, it would be Viduka.

Roofe has been on the books of Leeds since the summer of 2016 when he joined from Oxford United for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £3 million.
