The Leeds United loanee is not known for his pace and movement, with some of his teammates ready to come to the fore.

When Leeds United signed Pierre-Michel Lasogga on loan from Hamburg, they were hoping he would replace last season’s top-scorer Chris Wood, firing them to promotion in the process.
The early signs were great, with the German scoring a brace and setting up two more in a convincing victory against Burton Albion but, despite finding the net three more times this season, Lasogga’s all-round play has flattered to deceive.

What Leeds need is pace up front, with players running into space to ensure the likes of Samu Saiz and Ezgjan Alioski can utilise their passing range effectively.
Against Middlesbrough on Sunday, Kemar Roofe led the line brilliantly, while substitute Caleb Ekuban showed the spark Leeds have been lacking in his absence.
With two forwards willing to make space and move without the ball at their feet, Leeds manager Thomas Christiansen has a decision to make, and it would be surprising if Lasogga was not the loser in that particular situation.

The Leeds boss needs to utilise what he has as it his disposal and free-running forwards with both skill and considerable work-rate should win out over immobile target-men.
Leeds take on Wolverhampton Wanderers later this week and it will be interesting to see if Lasogga sits unused on the bench while Roofe and Ekuban are tasked with causing more damage against the current league leaders.
