Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions is facing a few early changes to its first venture into MMA.
Nakisa Bidarian has already hinted that MVP might keep booking MMA cards if the May 16 show at the Intuit Dome does well.
The Ronda Rousey return came together unexpectedly, but Jake Paul’s team didn’t just rely on her name value. They’ve filled out the rest of the lineup with several notable fighters and matchups, giving it some real depth beyond just Rousey vs Carano.
But there’s already been one change to the lineup, with one of the fighters involved saying their bout has been called off.
Lorenz Larkin pulls out of Jason Jackson Netflix fight due to knee injury

Having names like Ronda Rousey, Nate Diaz, and Francis Ngannou allowed Most Valuable Promotions to attract a lot of interest for the first MMA event on Netflix.
Although it’s the big names drawing attention to MVP’s card, there are also some lesser-known fights geared towards more dedicated fans. One of those matchups was supposed to be Lorenz Larkin against Jason Jackson.
But the former UFC fighter, who has fought 10 times in the promotion, took to Instagram a few hours ago at the time of writing and said he won’t be able to make it for May 16.
“I’m sorry to all the fans but I had to pull out [of] the Netflix card due to [a] knee injury,” he wrote on his Instagram story. “[I] will be rehabbing it back to 100% and will be back.”
This would have been his first MMA fight since a win over Levan Chokheli in his final Bellator win back in 2024.
MVP will now have their work cut out trying to find an opponent for Jackson so that he stays on what is already a thin undercard.
Larkin had previously made comments about how ‘disgusted’ he was with the fact that Jackson wasn’t signed by UFC after leaving PFL earlier this year. He felt that despite being overlooked by bigger promotions recently, Jackson still deserved opportunities at welterweight.
