Leeds are reported to be interested in Ronan Curtis.
Leeds United have been reported over the past month to be keen on signing Portsmouth ace Ronan Curtis.
Teamtalk reported Leeds have been scouting the Republic of Ireland international.
Curtis has insisted he is happy at Portsmouth, after only joining the club in the summer.
Curtis has scored six goals and provided seven assists in 17 games so far this season.
His current hopes are to lead Portsmouth to promotion to the Championship.
These goals will have to be adjusted if he signs with Leeds.
He told Portsmouth’s official website at the weekend: “‘I want to better myself and hopefully get into the Championship in my first year here. There’s a great morale around the team and around the training ground.
“We are top of the league and we won in the Cup so we are buzzing.”
Curtis is clearly happy at Pompey – but Leeds can offer him a shortcut to the second tier if they make a move.
Instead of dreaming for the Championship, Leeds can try and tempt him with the target of pushing to earn promotion to the Premier League.
The Whites sit in third place and are just three points off the top. They look likely to be in the mix all season, whether it is with Curtis or without.
