Leeds United will face Leicester City in the EFL Cup this weekend.

Leeds United midfielder Ronaldo Vieira has admitted to The Yorkshire Post that he does not know if he will play against Leicester City this evening.

The West Yorkshire outfit will take on Premier League club Leicester away from home at the King Power Stadium in the fourth round of the EFL Cup in a few hours’ time.

The 19-year-old midfielder made his first league start at the weekend, as he featured in Leeds’s 3-0 victory over Bristol City away from home at the Ashton Gate Stadium in the Championship.

The performance of the England Under-20 international was very encouraging, as the youngster played an influential role in the win.

Many Leeds fans will expect Vieira to retain his place in the Leeds starting lineup against Leicester this evening, but the midfielder himself has no idea.

“I honestly have no idea,” Vieira told The Yorkshire Post when asked if he expected to face Leicester.

“I want to play every game, but it depends who we are playing as well and whether we are going to get the ball more or whether we are going to need that physicality, like we did (on Saturday). It depends on the gaffer’s tactics.”

Meanwhile, Samuel Saiz has told The Express that he hopes to use his experience at Real Madrid at Leeds.

The 26-year-old, who can operate as a forward or as an attacking midfielder, joined the Whites from Huesca in the summer transfer window.

The Spaniard came through the ranks at Spanish and European giants Madrid.

“Leeds is a very big club but I was brought up at Real Madrid, which is the biggest in the world and the most successful,” Saiz told The Express.

“I trained with the first team, which was a great experience. I learnt so much and I hope that will help me at Leeds.”
