The Leeds United midfielder ran the show against the Rams

Leeds United continued their superb run of form with a 1-0 victory against Derby County on Friday evening.

Striker Chris Wood may have scored the only goal of the game, but teenage midfielder Ronaldo Vieira was the star of the show, with an individual performance that proved he is set for the big time sooner rather than later.

At this rate, if Leeds earn promotion back to the top flight come May, Vieira is going to be one of their key players in a division he already looks suited to.

Against Derby, the Leeds youngster won seven duels and recovered the ball on 10 occasions.

That is a superb return for any player, let alone one who is only 18 and who is just beginning his footballing career.

Vieira also won three tackles, had a 79 per cent passing accuracy and was dispossessed just once all evening.

This was a night when the Leeds teenager proved his class in emphatic fashion and the future looks very bright for both him and his rejuvenated club.
