Leeds United are currently sixth in the Championship table.

Leeds United midfielder Ronaldo Vieira has told the club’s official website that it is hard not to look at the league table.

The Whites are going strong in the Championship at the moment and are in the running for the playoffs.

The West Yorkshire outfit are currently sixth in the standings with 26 points from 16 matches.

Vieira is delighted with how things are going for Leeds at the moment. The 18-year-old midfielder has admitted why it is hard not to look at the league table.

“The main focus is helping the team that is what it is all about, we want to get Leeds back to where we belong and it has been great so far,” Vieira told Leeds’s official website.

“We are taking it game by game, but it is hard not to look at the table because we haven’t been in this position for a long time.

“Our mind and focus though is all about the next game, we are still early into the season and we need to keep level headed.”

Leeds did not start the season strongly, but the Whites are getting the results at the moment.

Garry Monk’s side are genuine playoff contenders now, but fans should not get carried away just yet.

There is a long way to go this season, and Leeds have to be consistent in order to finish in the top six of the Championship.

The likes of Derby County, Aston Villa and Sheffield Wednesday are also going to push on from now, and that is going to make things very tough for the Whites.
