Leeds United midfielder Ronaldo Vieira could come into Thomas Christiansen’s starting line-up for his side’s next match.

Leeds United youngster Ronaldo Vieira missing out on playing for England under-20’s over the international break, could be bad news for Thomas Christiansen.

Vieira has not played much over the season so far, and will now stick around at Leeds.

While that would normally be welcomed by Thomas Christiansen, as it gives him longer to work with Vieira on the training ground, it could actually work out badly for Leeds this time.

Vieira has barely featured at all for Leeds this season, and representing England could have helped him regain some match sharpness.

England under-20’s may not be as fiercely competitive as matches at Championship level, but it would have been a good warm up for Vieira, who could come back into Leeds’ team in their next match.

Leeds have struggled to find an effective midfield pairing in recent weeks, and the calls for Vieira to be included are growing louder.

But the youngster could now go into Leeds’ game fairly rusty, if he does start against Reading in two weekends’ time.
