Ronaldo Vieira played for Leeds United against Bristol City in the Championship at the weekend.

Vieira started his first Championship game of the season at the weekend, as he featured in the 3-0 victory over Bristol City away from home at the Ashton Gate Stadium.
The 19-year-old midfielder was a hugely influential figure in the Leeds midfield and was arguably the visiting team’s best player in the match.
With Leeds having lost their previous three league fixtures – against Cardiff City, Sheffield Wednesday and Reading – fans must have been wondering why head coach Thomas Christiansen have not been using the England Under-20 international.
That mystery has just been solved, as Vieira has admitted that he has been suffering with a knee injury.

“It’s a bit of tendonitis,” Vieira told The Yorkshire Evening Post. “I think a lot of players suffer with it.
“I can play with it but I didn’t go away with England because it was a bit sore. I stayed and did some work on it and it feels alright now. It feels good.
“Last year I struggled with my knee as well but I played through it. This year it got a little bit worse.
“Maybe that’s what slowed me down but I’ve kept my head down and kept working and working, trying to get into the team.”

Vieira is one of the best midfielders in the current Leeds team and is one of the best young players in the Championship.
With the Whites aiming to finish in the top six of the Championship this season, the youngster will be important for Leeds in their quest to get promoted to the Premier League.
