Ronaldo Vieira was the Leeds United captain against York City.

Leeds United midfielder Ronaldo Vieira was the captain of the team for the pre-season friendly match against York City on Thursday evening.
The 20-year-old, who is one of the best and most promising young midfielders in the Championship, did well during the game, which ended in a 1-1 draw.
The England Under-21 international is still very young and is developing as a footballer, but the youngster appears to be very mature.
Vieira was pleased to be the Leeds captain, but the midfielder has suggested that new head coach Marcelo Bielsa’s decision to make him the skipper did not affect him at all, and that he always tries to play his usual game.
The midfielder told Leeds’s official website: “I enjoyed having the captain’s armband, but I’m not worried about that, I just want to get out on the pitch, do my best and get the fitness in.”

Future Leeds United captain?
Vieira is unlikely to be the captain of Leeds next season, but the youngster could be become the skipper of the West Yorkshire outfit in the coming years.
The Englishman is a hugely talented footballer, and if he continues to progress and mature as he has done over the past two or so seasons, then he could well he leading out the team on a permanent basis.
