Brazil legend Ronaldo has backed Liverpool to beat Tottenham Hotspur 3-1 in the Champions League final in Madrid on Saturday evening.

The Premier League duo will face off in the biggest club competition in the world, with one team aiming to win their sixth European crown and the other hoping to clinch their first Champions League trophy.

There has been a long break for both teams in between the final Premier League game of the season and the big game itself, but it remains to be seen who it will suit on the night.

As posted on the UEFA Champions League’s official Twitter account, Ronaldo is seen holding up a piece of paper where he is predicting the winner of the match.

The World Cup winner is backing for goals to be scored on the night and it is something the neutral watching at home wouldn’t mind because both teams have quality players in their ranks.

Added with that, the 3-1 scoreline will also be very familiar scoreline for Liverpool supporters because it is by that margin that Real Madrid beat Jurgen Klopp’s side last season in the CL final.

There is no doubt that the Merseyside club will want to go one better this time around and they may even have an edge over Tottenham because they have already experienced the big stage in a European final.

Either way, before the game begins, both managers have a number of big decisions to make, including who will start up front, whether Roberto Firmino returns to Liverpool’s starting XI and whether Pochettino will start Harry Kane.
