Everton are due to take on Apollon Limassol in Europa League action this evening.

Ronald Koeman, Manager of Everton looks on during the Carabao Cup Third Round match between Everton and Sunderland at Goodison Park on September 20, 2017 in Liverpool, England.

Ronald Koeman has told the Daily Star that he will put out Everton’s strongest team against Apollon Limassol in the Europa League this evening.

The Europa League can sometimes by treated as an unwanted distraction by Premier League managers.

However, Koeman is determined to progress in the competition, and he wants to take no risks with Everton’s team selection this evening.

“The team which will start will be the strongest one of who is available,” Koeman said.

Ronald Koeman, Manager of Everton shows appreciation to the fans after Premier League match between Everton and Watford at Goodison Park on May 12, 2017 in Liverpool, England.

“We need to react because the face we showed and final result we got in Italy was not the Everton we like. That revenge feeling means we have to show it now.”

Everton are under pressure to pick up the three points at Goodison Park, after being heavily beaten by Atalanta during their opening match.

The Toffees were well short of their best in Italy, and a big improvement will be required if they are to take the three points this evening.

Koeman’s biggest dilemma may be deciding who to play up-front against Limassol, as he will be without goalscoring hero Oumar Niasse.

Niasse scored twice in Everton’s last Premier League match against Bournemouth to win the contest for Koeman’s men, and looks to be the Merseyside outfit’s biggest attacking weapon currently.
